30 May

This band doesn’t let an ACT ruin a good party.

This week on the Curious Sophisticate, I interviewed Jamie Miller and Pierce Burke of Universe, an up-and-coming alternative punk band from Chicago.

Universe is a fresh face to the alt punk scene. After many years of writing lyrics, Miller (vocals/guitar/songwriter) has finally found a home with Burke (drums), Kat Smidt (vocals/keyboardist), Paul Fleck (guitar), and Ryan White (bass).

In Case You Couldn’t Tune In Last Sunday…

9 May

I have a music segment on Sundays at 2 p.m. CT on Radio DePaul which is part of “The Curious Sophisticate” program. I interview bands and musicians from Chicago or artists soon performing in Chicago.

For the next couple weeks, I will be focusing on the electronic music genre. Electronic music is making a bigger name for itself in the music industry and is pushing the genre to new limits.

Here is my interview with Pete Cho of Punky Fresh from last Sunday, May 2. Check it out.
